The DigiByte Testnet is functionally identical to Mainnet but the testnet coins - known as DGBT - are worthless. It is used by developers for testing.

swap file

A swap file is a dedicated space on the drive used by an operating system to temporarily store data that cannot be held in RAM, effectively extending the system's virtual memory.

MAC address

A Media Access Control address (MAC address) is a hardware identifier that uniquely identifies each device on a network. Primarily, the manufacturer assigns it. They are often found on a device’s network interface controller (NIC) card. A MAC address can also be referred to as a burned-in address, Ethernet hardware address, hardware address, or physical address.

Static IP

A Static IP address is a permanent, fixed IP address assigned to a computer or device, remaining constant over time, unlike Dynamic IP addresses which can change. This is useful for devices that need to be reliably found on a network, like servers.

PCIe

PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) is a high-speed interface standard for connecting hardware devices like graphics cards and SSDs to a computer's motherboard.

SSH

SSH (Secure Shell) is a network protocol that provides a secure way to access and manage computers remotely over an unsecured network, commonly used for command-line login and other network services.
